Kung hindi mo pa nababasa ang aklat, eh wag mo nang ituloy ang pagbabasa nito! spoiler nga kumbaga tsk... Sa totoo lang wala akong idea kung kelan lalabas ang pang walong libro ni idol, nagkataon lang na sinamahan ko ang katrabaho ko sa National Bookstore para bumili ng ID case, malas,wala yung hinahanap namin... Swerte naman sa part ko, sakto sangkatutak yung aklat ni Bob Ong sa tapat mismo ng entrance, kaya napansin ko agad... di ako nagdalawang isip na kumuha agad ng kopya. Natawa ako agad sa pamagat "Ang mga kaibigan ni Mama Susan"... bukod sa may kapitbahay kaming Susan ang pangalan' eh parang boring yung title. Sa simula, medyo nagtaka ako sa format, journal ng isang estudyante ang ginamit para ikuwento ang istorya, first person perspective, kakaiba ang atake ni idol this time. Tulad ng dati hindi mawawala ang pagkakuwela ni Bob Ong at mapapansin mo maya't maya mapapaisip ka kasi makaka-relate ka sa mga pangyayari, pa-tama ba. At dahil isa siyang diary, at ang storya ay naganap late 90's, nakakatuwang basahin ang mga bagay na nauso noong time na yun.. haha tamagochi at yung kanta ng 98 degrees. Nag-umpisa sa buhay eskuwela ang storya, pero nagbago nang umuwi si Galo sa probinsiya nila, unti-unting naging horror! Sobrang kakaiba siya, nandoon yung suspense at comedy all in one, ang weirdo ng bahay ni Mama Susan. Mas naging exciting yung story nung pumasok sa kuwento yung dalawang bata, medyo nakakaawa sila hehe. Natatawa ako sa part na nagsesession sila Mama Susan at mga kaibigan niya, nagiiyakan at may buhat factor pa, nyahahahahaha.. Maganda rin yung part na tatakas sana si Galo at mga bata pero nabigo sila at bumalik nalang sa bahay... Sa huli, medyo nagulat ako at natakot din, dahil nakakatakot naman talaga, lalo na yung last page! Sige na, hindi ko rin masyado maintindihan yung last part, tulad ng nakakarami na nakabasa din, marami kasing mga tanong na naiwan, anong nangyari sa mga bata? namatay ba o nasapian si Galo sa huli? Anu ba talaga ibig sabihin ng mga Latin na salita? bakit walang date sa mga huling post niya? at yung oras na 3:33am/pm? at marami pang iba. Sa tingin ko lang naman, Yun talaga ang gusto gawin ni Bob Ong, ang iwan tayo ng mga tanong, kumbaga tayo na bahala gumawa ng sarili nating ending, sabi nga ni Galo sa makakabasa nito, kayo na bahala.... narinig niyo na ba ang open ended story? it leaves questions... magaling na fiction writer si idol hehe... hindi predictable ang ending, di tulad ng mga ibang horror stories na normal na nababasa natin at napapanuod sa t.v. ... Ayus talaga ang librong ito, wala na ako masabi.. kaya basahin mo na kung hindi mo pa nababasa.. teka makulit ka sabi ko wak mo basahin tong blogpost ko kung hindi mo pa nababasa.
