Hachiko: A Dog's Tale is a tearjerker ... huhuhu..

I saw this wonderful movie last night, its about a dog's undying devotion and loyalty to his master.Based on a true story, it all begins when a college professor adopts an abandoned dog named Hachiko. The two form such a strong bond that Hachiko walks with the professor to the train station each morning and returns to the station each evening to walk the professor home again. The routine continues until one day the professor does not return to the train station. Hachiko, however, does not give up. He returns to the same train station at the same time, faithfully waiting for his owner to return. Hachiko does this for more than nine years, until his own death. I could say that this is the Best dog story ever.





This is the trailer of "Hachiko" starring Richard Gere released in August 2009, actually a remake of the 1987 film Hachikō Monogatari (ハチ公物語 which told the story of his life from his birth up until his death and imagined spiritual reunion with his master.



The real hachiko lived in 1924, Hachikō was brought to Tokyo by his owner, Hidesburo Ueno, professor in the agriculture department at the University of Tokyo. During his owner's life Hachikō saw him out from the front door and greeted him at the end of the day at the nearby Shibuya Station. The pair continued their daily routine until May 1925, when Professor Ueno did not return on the usual train one evening. The professor had suffered a heart attack at the university that day. He died and never returned to the train station where his friend was waiting. Hachikō was loyal and every day for the next nine years he waited sitting there amongst the town's folk.

Hachikō was given away after his master's death, but he routinely escaped, showing up again and again at his old home. Eventually, Hachikō apparently realized that Professor Ueno no longer lived at the house. So he went to look for his master at the train station where he had accompanied him so many times before. Each day, Hachikō waited for Professor Ueno to return. And each day he did not see his friend among the commuters at the station.

The permanent fixture at the train station that was Hachikō attracted the attention of other commuters. Many of the people who frequented the Shibuya train station had seen Hachikō and Professor Ueno together each day. They brought Hachikō treats and food to nourish him during his wait.

This continued for nine years with Hachikō appearing precisely when the train was due at the station. Hachikō died on the steps that he waited for his master outside the station on March 8, 1935. His stuffed and mounted remains are kept at the Science Museum of Japan in Ueno, Tokyo.

In April 1934, a bronze statue in his likeness was erected at Shibuya Station.

Im considering myself as an artist. period! hehe.. I really love paintings though I dont really paint, I cant even draw a good stickman.. nyahahahaha... but I absolutely appreciate art.. . Im a great fan of Vincent Van Gogh, I dont know if you guys are familiar with the song of Don Mclean entitled "Vincent", that song talks about his work, the "Starry Night", one of the most well known images in modern culture as well as being one of the most replicated and sought after prints. The interesting part was that Van Gogh painted Starry Night while in an Asylum at Saint-Remy in 1889.


While browsing the web to search for paintings, I saw this picture uploaded by a Van Gogh fan, Its really amazing and very interesting. She painted Van Gogh's Starry Night on her white arabian horse.

"BUS RIDES"

A bus (archaically also omnibus, multibus, or autobus) is a road vehicle designed to carry passengers. Buses vary in capacity from 8 to 300 passengers. Buses are widely used public transportation.


I really enjoy riding the bus going home, for anybody else its just a normal thing.. a daily scenario. But for me... I dunno, there's always something special in every ride I get... that's why I never experience being asleep in a bus.. well in some cases that I just pretend to be sleeping. (hindi sa ayaw ko magbayad hahaha)... Its very odd that I enjoy seeing the sites outside.. it doesn't matter if its EDSA or a trip bound to Manila, and theyre the same things that I see and yet I need to see them.. WEIRD.

I just got one question... coz one time, on my way home, I was sitting beside a policeman. When the conductor began collecting the fare, of course I immediately took some coins inside my bag and handed it to the man, to my surprise, the policeman just moved his badge and yawn. Now the question.. are these law enforcers really exempted in paying the fare? What about the writings inside the bus saying "BADGE not HONORED"?
tsk tsk tsk...

Riding the bus is not only fun but educational as well at times... here are some words that you can add to your vocabulary.. .
(note: these words come from the bus drivers, conductors and the passengers as well.. well yan yung mga naririnig ko sa bunganga nila eh )

Cruising (crossing) - dito ako sumasakay pag pupunta ako sa Pasig.

Kipsi (KFC) - isang fastfood-chain across Kustal mole.

Jueteng shade - legal naman tumambay dito, at hindi ka huhulihin ng pulis... ito ay simpleng babaan at sakayan ng mga pasaherong bibiyahe.

Fly-OVER-pass - Ito ang pinaka- safe na pwede mong sabihin kung hindi ka sigurado kung over-pass ba ang tinutukoy mo or fly-over ... natawa ako ng narinig ko ang isang pasahero ng sabihin nya yan..

I heard this hot topic over the radio this morning about Adam Carolla, a U.S. based radioman who stars on his own radio podcast, and now in a serious trouble for insulting Manny Pacquiao and the entire Filipino people. He said that Manny is an idiot, a guy with brain damage seeking a seat in the government and the saddest part was that he implied that the Philippines has no other things to brag about except from Manny and prostitution! tsk, haaays believe me this is gonna be a major issue for the next days to come.. F*$@ this guy, its seems that he doesnt know what he's talking about.
